The Lesson
Every rep, every drill, every defeat is a lesson waiting to be understood. Our athletes develop the discipline to study the game — and themselves — with intention.
“The Batman”
“No matter what,
no matter who —
it’s Nothin Personal.”Coach Tony Reese
Thirty-eight years. Three levels. One unbroken commitment to the game.
Tony Reese has lived basketball from the inside — as a player, competitor, student of the game, and now as a coach and mentor shaping the next generation of athletes.
His playing career took him from the collegiate hardwood at Georgia Southwestern State to semi-professional competition with the Athens Razors, and ultimately to international professional basketball with Playbasket Carre — a journey that gave him a firsthand understanding of every stage an aspiring athlete must navigate.
Known as “The Batman” — a nickname earned through his relentless defensive intensity and the way he operates in the shadows, doing the disciplined work others overlook — Tony brought that same philosophy to coaching.
What makes him different isn’t just experience. It’s the refusal to separate athletic development from life development. At Drop Zone, the court is the classroom.

Played as combo guard — developing the foundation of a lifelong philosophy of discipline and execution.
Elevated his game against professional-caliber competition, refining the IQ and defensive awareness he now teaches.
Competed at the international professional level — experiencing the global language of basketball firsthand.
Individualized skill building — from raw fundamentals to professional-level technique. Every athlete gets a plan built for them.
The mental game separates good players from great ones. Tony teaches athletes to read the floor, anticipate, and compete smarter.
His nickname didn't come from offense. Defensive principles, rotations, and the discipline to execute them under pressure.
Professional conditioning habits instilled early. The athletes who outlast their opponents in Q4 are the ones who trained right.
Basketball is a team sport. Building cohesion, accountability, and a winning culture is as important as any X and O.
The court is the classroom. Every lesson in basketball maps to a lesson in discipline, resilience, and leadership.
Drop Zone Next Mission Youth Foundation was founded with a single, uncompromising purpose: to give young athletes the tools, training, mentorship, and opportunities they need to succeed — not just in basketball, but in every dimension of their lives.
Founded by a U.S. veteran, we bring the core values of honor, integrity, discipline, and service to every athlete we develop. We recognized a gap in youth development — players were receiving good technical training but leaving without the life skills, academic accountability, or scholarship access that would carry them beyond the court.
Drop Zone closes that gap. We combine elite basketball instruction with structured mentorship, academic support, and real access to scholarship pathways.
Three principles. One system. A lifetime of results.
The Lesson
Every rep, every drill, every defeat is a lesson waiting to be understood. Our athletes develop the discipline to study the game — and themselves — with intention.
The Experience
Live it like you're at a concert — fully present, locked in, feeling every moment. Don't just go through the motions. Be in it. Let the lesson hit you in real time, on the court and off.
The Mastery
Live the reps. Repetition builds decision-making — on the court and in life. That's the real separator. Not talent. Not size. The athlete who has lived the reps doesn't think, they just know.
Whether you're an athlete, a parent, or an organization — we're ready to talk.
